Give A Person Enough Rope, And They Will Make A Giant Spider Web
One of the good things about being an Anti-Birther as opposed to being an Obot is that we still get to enjoy Obama’s various trips and stumbles. And OH, has he done it now. Breitbart broke the news today that in 1991, Obama was presented by his literary agent as being “born in Kenya, and raised in Hawaii and Indonesia.” Here is a copy:

Like the people at Breitbart, I do not believe that this trumps a Hawaiian Birth Certificate, but this definitely breathes new life into the Kenyan Birth Birthers, and it is now going to be even more hopeless trying to convince them otherwise. I do not believe that this is something which simply slipped by Obama without his knowledge. Bluntly, Obama has just been caught fibbing once again about his past. Shades of Elizabeth Warren!!!
UPDATE: The literary agent who wrote the above blurb states that she simply made a fact checking error and had no input from Obama, which would indicate that Obama wasn’t fibbing. Here is her statement and a link to it:
Miriam Goderich just issued a statement to the Political Wire saying the future president never suggested “in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii”:
“You’re undoubtedly aware of the brouhaha stirred up by Breitbart about the erroneous statement in a client list Acton & Dystel published in 1991 (for circulation within the publishing industry only) that Barack Obama was born in Kenya. This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me — an agency assistant at the time. There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more.”
Whatever, all this still has nothing whatsoever to do with the idiotic two citizen parent Birther legal theory. However, I predict we will now be seeing this latest flap/revelation appearing in the various Birther legal filings.
The fallout should be interesting.
