She Couched Her Words, But Still Made The Point
Just the other day the Birther blog, Birther Report breathlessly reported that “CBS NEWS” was calling for Obama to release documents and questioning whether he was a foreign exchange student.

Come to find out, Scott Paulson was just another blogger posting at a local CBS news website. I let that one pass. Now, Birther Report has this story up, wherein Yahoo News is supposedly pimping some silly Birther book:

Birther Report isn’t out and out lying, but they are dissembling:

Why would anybody think that Yahoo News had any independent interest at all in something like this:

So, neither CBS News or Yahoo News were behind the respective stories. Yahoo News got it from some third party. Who knows whether money changed hands at that level or not. So why would Birther Report do something like this??? Why didn’t they just run a story about the book without all the Yahoo News gloss???
I think it is for the same reason World Net Daily and all the Birther blogs hopped on the “Israeli science website says” story a few weeks back? It was an attempt to portray a non-existent consensus behind the story. This is a form of logical fallacy:

The truth is, the only people who really believe the Birther nonsense are other Birthers. When the mainstream press notices these kind of stories, it is for the same reason they do stories on Honey Boo Boo. So that normal people can marvel at some of the abnormal people who make up the human race. Or, with Birthers, to drive a few more people to voting for Democrats next month.

“Bottom Line”
In October 2008 after following attorney Berg’s case in the Pennsylvania court I made a post on the blog site where I’ve been posting since 2004. Basically stating that if one wants to be a public servant & represent the American people in government and there are problems/questions with the candidates bona fides then they must release any and all records to clear up any problems that have come to light.
Here’s something for you to ponder on: Let say we have 6 people on this blog site who are claiming they have seen a vaulted original document that states Boy Monkey & G-string are a romantically engaged gay couple. Should that stand as the gospel truth and be the final word on it, or should that original be released for verification?

If you actually understood what went on in Indiana (instead of Orly’s babble), you would know that the only possible decision by judge Reid which would prevent her from being immediately reversed on appeal is the dismissal of the case. Finally, the president is dealing with a $50 billion problem (pre-Sandy estimate of the damages—I assume that it is in the right ballpark), to suggest that he should spend time on an idiot’s bad-faith bribery attempt which is approximately one five-thousandth of the scale of the issues that he’s currently dealing with is completely moronic.

Dumping the National Anthem
Nearly 200 high school hockey teams in Pennsylvania have been advised to eliminate the national anthem because it takes too much time to perform and costs too much money.
“We are recommending the national anthem not be played or sung or whatever it is,” Ed Sam, commissioner of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League told Fox News. “It has absolutely nothing to do with patriotism at all. That’s the furthest thing from the truth.”
Schools were notified of the directive in an email from the PIHL. He said teams are only allotted a certain amount of time to play matches.
Sam also said it had to do with economics. He said ice time is quite expensive and the national anthem eats into the clock.
“Ice is very, very hard to get and it’s not cheap,” he told television station KDKA, noting that it costs upwards of $300 per hour for schools to rent ice rinks.
