One of the latest stories floating around Birferdom is that Israeli scientists have declared Obama’s long form birth certificate to be a phony. The story started with Jerome Corsi and World Net Daily(WND). This is just another one of his vain attempts to make himself, and the Birther cause, look respectable. Instead of the old “Look, a real live sheriff said it’s fake!“, now it’s “Look, a real live scientist said it’s fake!”
First WND gives you this teaser, where it looks like the whole dang nation of Israel is telling us something:

Israel Science and Technology, the national database and directory of science and technology-related websites in Israel, has published an article asserting the long-form birth certificate released by the White House is a forged document.
The website was created by a former science adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel Hanukoglu, Ph.D.
Hanukoglu, an award-winning researcher, is a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology in the Department of Molecular Biology at Ariel University Center of Samaria in Ariel, Israel.
The professor established the first version of his website during his tenure as Netanyahu’s science adviser. The site has evolved into “the premier science and technology portal for Israel.”
The website says that the White House’s release of the Obama document in April 2011, after years of controversy, “raised in our minds the possibility that there could be something suspicious about the information available on this document.”
The website conducted an independent analysis and cites others who came to the same conclusion.

Rather than going straight to the “phony birth certificate” story, I hit the second link, which takes you to an October 27, 2008 article at rhe site. You know, to kind of check out Hanukoglu’s street cred a little. This anti-Obama screed pops up with a list of 27 reasons why you shouldn’t vote for Obama:
Imagine for a few moments that you are the Human Resources Director of a major multi-billion dollar corporation. You are sitting in your office when you receive a phone call from the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He tells you that the board is considering a candidate for a high-level executive position. He advises you to complete a thorough background investigation and have it to him within 10 days.
You immediately call the Private Detective Agency you have used for years and give them the name and address of the prospective candidate, along with the deadline for a high level security clearance. Your next move is to call your assistant to your office, giving him/her the candidate’s personal information along with instructions to ‘do your standard beginning background checks.’

Hmmm, that doesn’t sound very much like science to me. It’s a fun read, and you need to read the whole thing, but it ain’t science. Science is supposed to be non-biased, and rational, and fair to both sides of an issue. But this stuff reads like a Jerome Corsiesque smear job.
By putting that on his website, Mr. Hanukoglu made his personal opinion of Obama very clear. Which there is nothing wrong with having an opinion, but how in the world can someone plaster over their opinions with a SCIENCE label, and not feel pretty cheesy about it???
Moving forward to what I am sure is going to be a fair and independent analysis of the birth certificate [NOT!!!], we find that Mr. Hanukoglu realizes this shticks out like a sore thumb on what is supposed to be a science website. So, he tries to fool us into believing there is a noble and scientific reason for it to be here:
Since this is a site of Science and technology, there is a need to explain why this site dedicates a page to expose forgery about a document related to Mr. Barack Hussein Obama. Mr. Obama is the President of the USA that is currently the leader of the Free World, and the most powerful country in the Western hemisphere. In his position as the President, the policies pursued by Mr. Obama affects the whole world and not just the USA.
Yeah. Sure. Then he does a little more editorializing, and plays around a little with opening the birth certificate pdf in a program, and wiggling it around some, and then passes the reader off to some links with a series of experts like Mara Zebest and the Cold Case Posse to tie up any loose ends. This is just another smear job, this time with the aura of SCIENCE to cover up all the bullsh*t. Hanukoglu, aka Mr. Science, doesn’t explain to us which information on the long form image is false or how one would go about proving a document is forged by analyzing its image. It could be done, but so far none of the Birther experts, including him, have even come close. And Mr. Science provided no parameters for his research, and what he intended to prove, and how his findings proved anything. He didn’t even define what forgery is.
Which is also why the Cold Case Posse isn’t going anywhere. None of this wonderful group of so-called experts has laid out the basic elements of a forgery charge, because to do so would show how pitiful their efforts have been. Forgery is either creating false documents, or materially altering real ones with the purpose of defrauding someone of some benefit. All these Birther “experts” have proven is that they can’t figure out how a document was scanned and uploaded.
Another thing that I found interesting is where these articles are listed on his website. It is NOT in the science section of the website, but under the Arab-Israeli Conflict section under U.S. Policy. Definitely not the stuff of science. More like an editorial section. Here is the link:

I don’t think there is anything Obama could do at this point to put an end to Birtherism, assuming he wanted to. It has simply gone on too long. For example, Alvin Onaka puts out a Verification which ought to have ended the whole thing, and the Birthers twist it into an Anti-Verification.
There is just way too much crap flying around for anybody to clean up the mess.
The only question I see is whether more people will vote for Romney to get rid of a Usurper, or whether more people will vote for Obama to keep the country from the hands of the crazy Birthers.
My GUESS is that the Birthers will win this one. It looks to me like Birtherism has become endemic in the population. And, applying a good dose of truth isn’t going to clear it up.

My guess is that the Birthers are completely inconsequential to the actual election contest and have only served to marginalize themselves into being broadly viewed as a total joke and sign of pure hate-based crazy in action.
There has never been any serious doubt about the Birther’s voting habits – those that vote did NOT vote for Obama last time, nor will they this time. Therefore, their voting patterns have always been baked into the electoral calculus. They are for all intents and purposes inconsequential to the actual election, no matter how much they bray and stomp.
Therefore, there is no credible evidence that Birtherism has any appeal, beyond its own choir and only is capable of spreading amongst the ODS-based population – a group which never was going to vote for Obama under any circumstances anyways.
However, there is evidence that outside of the ODS-crowd, Birtherism is not just seen as silly, but often as an offensive slur and movement. So, while Birtherism offers little electoral gains to its adherents, it does have a way of negatively impacting the integrity and credibility of those who espouse it. Therefore it does retain the potential as “political poison” to result in the exact opposite of its intented effect – to actually turn other folks against those who play flirty birther games and to even engender impassioned defensive support for Obama, as a candidate perceived as being unfairly attacked by lying bigots.
Still, the dynamics of this election cycle are being driven by and will be decided by many other more persuasive factors, all of which have nothing to do with the silliness of Birtherism at all.

You mean hospital records that are by law allowed to be destroyed upon ANY patient’s 43rd birth date??? Well, detailed medical records for minors may be destroyed when a minor turns 25. For minors, detailed medical records can then be TRIMMED down to BASIC records. Those BASIC records can be destroyed when a minor turns 43.

Karl Rove might have really blown it this time by suggesting that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin be murdered. He made the statement to a room full of high-dollar donors during an exclusive breakfast at the Republican National Convention. Businessweekreported that Rove was explaining to the group how American Crossroads, Rove’s super-PAC, would persuade undecided voters in swing states to vote against Barack Obama. While discussing House and Senate races, Rove made the statement “We should sink Todd Akin. If he’s found mysteriously murdered, don’t look for my whereabouts!”
Calls for Rove’s resignation are filtering in from conservative leaders, and it’s high time as far as I’m concerned. He should have been outed long before now. I wrote a book entitled “Memoirs of a Community Organizer from Hawai’i” and listed Rove as my “Public Enemy No. 1” on page 209 in the photo section. His picture is displayed among others in my “Rogues Gallery” that includes colorful characters like doper-toker Hawai’i Gov. Neil Abercrombie and Bobby Titcomb, who was arrested last year in a prostitute sting in Waikiki. Bobby is rumored to be Obama’s supplier of “fish and poi” (code for marijuana and cocaine) to the White House. Being from Hawai’i myself, I find that “rumors” tend to be the facts that liberal newspapers won’t print.
Dr. Chiyome Fukino, former Department of Health director, and Lt. Gov. Brian Schatz also appear in my Rogues Gallery for their part in the massive cover-up of fraud pertaining to Obama’s birth record or lack thereof in the HDOH and the shenanigans that went on between Schatz when he was Chairman of the Democrat Party in Hawai’i and the Elections Commission. By now, most of America knows that the birth certificate posted on the WhiteHouse.gov website by former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs and claimed by Obama to be authentic is instead a forgery. Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, AZ commissioned a team of detectives to investigate and put the matter to rest, hoping it would exonerate the president; but as lead investigator Mike Zullo stated, “The evidence kept leading us elsewhere.”
Like so many others, Sheriff Arpaio was labeled a “birther” and a “racist” among other crude names by the left intended to marginalize and silence those who would speak out against Obama. Problem is, there was even more vitriol from the right. I’m talking about the “establishment” right, those who wanted Obama’s secrets kept hidden because the corruption in the political process was so deep that to expose Obama would be the first domino to fall; and the collapsing would not stop until the ruling elite, the Bilderbergs, were exposed as the puppet masters that hold all the strings.
Rove was the “architect” of George W. Bush’s successful presidential campaign, and his handiwork is evident in all the tactics used against Romney’s opponents and Constitutional conservatives like Akin who won’t tow the establishment line. The same tactics were used by Obama’s Chicago Machine. Essentially, they killed off the competition, and that is what Romney’s campaign has been doing all along. The GOP is no better than the DNC, and I believe most people can see that now and believe, like me, that a third party is going to emerge. Probably not before November, but the world will see a firestorm in 2014 when all 435 members of the House and one-third of the Senate will be up for reelection. The RNC has poked a stick in the eye of liberty-loving patriots, and now the sleeping giant is not only awake; we are breathing fire.
Karl Rove has been especially vindictive to we the people of the eligibility movement, calling us “birthers” and “fringe” or saying that we have “a problem with a black man in the White House.” He mimics the same talking points spewed at us by everyone who would like us to shut up and go away because to reveal the truth strikes at the heart of their agenda: complete governmental control, the Constitution be damned. After an especially nasty tirade against “birthers” and announcing that Obama was eligible to go on the 2012 ballot, I emailed Rove explaining the difference between “natural born Citizen” and “native born Citizen.” I didn’t go into the fact that Obama has not even proven his “native born” status since the only record he has produced is a proven forgery. I didn’t expect an answer, so you can imagine my astonishment when I received one. Rove was short and to the point. “You’re wrong!” “Obama’s was born in the United States and his mother was an American citizen so he is eligible.”

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) provides all the talking points to counter eligibility claims. Written by left-wing lawyers, the memorandums coming from the service are fatally flawed. So, too, are the eight or so attempts in Congress to change the meaning of natural born citizen to legitimize a particular candidate who had only one American citizen parent. The proposed bills all failed, and curiously, they were all proposed during the years 2004-2008 as Barack Hussein Obama rose to political power. Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) was a co-sponsor of one of the bills to rewrite history, and he shares a spot next to Karl Rove on page 209 of my book’s Rogues Gallery.
When Karl Rove speaks, everyone listens. FOX News listens to him and shuts down any discourse relating to Obama’s ineligibility to be president of the United States. The RNC listened to him and changed the rules of the convention to hand-pick delegates supporting Mitt Romney, disenfranchising Constitutional conservatives including Ron Paul and TEA party supporters. The rules change will make it especially hard for Constitutionalists to ever have a voice in the GOP. Why would the RNC cut their own throat like that? I believe that Rove gets his marching orders from the consensus of members of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Trilateral Commission, and the Bilderberg group.
Novelist Bruce Colville said that “Withholding information is the essence of tyranny. Control of the flow of information is the tool of the dictatorship.” Rove, to me, is the GOP’s dictatorship tool to destroy the Constitution and rewrite the Bill of Rights. Constitutionalists know this and have been fighting hard for a breakthrough to the Republican Party. It’s evident now that Constitutional Conservatives have been thrown out of the party. The convention built the latest brick wall, and Rove cemented the mortar, as he has at every opportunity to silence anyone who challenges the establishment’s power.

Wow, is this weird or what. I was just listening with headphones to Miki Booth and Mark Gillar, and about midway through it I fell asleep. I just now woke up, and missed half of White Collar in the process.
Give me a few minutes to shake the clobwebs out of my head, and I will re-read what you wrote. I have been dozing off all day long, having stayed up last night to analyze all the science that wasn’t happening.

Well Hey There Stinky!!! Been a while, been busy working to line the pockets of our gvt politicians and maybe paying half a light bill… thanks to that ‘necessarily sky rocketing, looking out for the people’ policies your buddy loves. You are not trying to bring out “truth,” because the truth is, as everyone with a brain including karl Rove knows, is that BHO was born in HI and is a Natural Born Citizen. And, parenthetically, he will be remembered by posterity, which tend to drift toward objectivity, as one of the best Presidents we have ever had, probably among the top ten.
We will be remembered as patriots, defenders of the Constitution and the rule of Law… especially people like Squeeky and John Woodman who are not fans of Obama (in John’s case, quite the opposite) but still trash the Birfoonery because they are not dishonest partisan scum like you who accept absurd made-up unproven crap if it advances their cause. They are decent, honorable Americans.

Not to get involved in the birther deal, but much of the article above is one of the most blatant examples of straw man logical fallacy I’ve ever seen. I don’t know who this Corsi character is, but I can only deduce from the article that he is a birther. However, no matter how stupid Corsi may be, isn’t it the so-called Israeli scientist who is making the claim that the birth certificate is not real? Why does “Squeeky” first disparage Corsi(the “straw man”) then pretend that her disparagement of him applies equally to the scientist? She never tells us if the man actually is a scientist, nor does she tell us what his credentials are, nor does she tell us what claims he makes that prove the birth certificate is fake. So what has she proven?

First, there are links in the Internet Article which would provide you more in-depth information.
Now, Jerome Corsi, Ph.D. is the “journalist” who promulgated this story through the online news mag, World Net Daily. His writing is usually pretty smear oriented and pseudo-sensational in nature. I disparage him every chance I get. He deserves it. If I had some poo available, and he was near, I would fling it at him.
I provided a link to the “Scientist”, and he does seem to be a bona fide and respectable scientist. However, his “hit piece” is neither bona fide not respectable. As I wrote, he provided no scientific method at all in his supposed scientific analysis.
With no background, he alleges the document is “phony” based on the electronic image, while forgetting to tell us what information on said image is false, or materially altered.
I provided the following info from Corsi’s article, so I do not understand your statement that I did not tell you if Hanukoglu was a scientist or not:

Maybe you should take a technology forensics class to understand it. So Anthony she is basically calling out a scientist because she must feel she is smarter than him unless he proves to her she is not and all because she hates the articles author. That’s pretty much it In a monkey nutshell – if you cannot produce an original then YOU HAVE NO ARGUMENT to claim what you claim. Plain and simple. Which, that repeated request that would end the entire issue has been refused every time and for goo reason. Because you would LOSE your argument and your POS POTUS and any shred of creditability of our government. Pretty compelling reasons to keep it in hiding.

He has his scientific opinion and that’s about as good as yours based on the (lying) word of yet another public (paid off) official without an original document, He just didn’t cater to you in spelling it all out in details that are acceptable to you. Just like your side of the argument will not produce an original.

You miss Squeeky’s point—his opinion is extremely unscientific. First of all, it’s outside of his area of expertise and no good scientist claims that their scientific credentials lend their opinion validity on a topic outside of their area of expertise. Even worse, as Squeeky pointed out, he did not in any way use a scientific methodology. I hope for his sake he’s no longer an active scientist in the field, because if he is, his reputation could be destroyed (and rightly so) if his colleagues were to see his article claiming a scientific analysis of the birth certificate.
As for the rest of your comment, you are clearly just one more despicable lying bigot—a typical birther, in other words.
